It is a popular suburb for renters, primarily because of its close proximity to the Sydney CBD and fantastic transport system – which includes busses, city rail and the light rail, which makes it very popular with white collar workers working in the CBD. They consist of a mixture of period single front or duplex houses (with no parking space), but also apartments ranging from the typical 1970’s red brick style to recent developments.

Rental prices for a typical 1 bedroom apartment in Dulwich Hill range from $450 to $550 per week and 2 bedroom apartment would be around the $550 to $600 per week mark. Dulwich Hill also boasts a number of houses, varying in condition and age, with rental prices ranging around the $650 pw and upwards of $700 per week.
